Why the Sport & Spirit Women’s Weekend Was Worth Every Effort
I had the privilege of participating in this unique women’s gathering, and wow, was it worth it. 💫
I’ll be honest, it wasn’t easy to make it happen.
Driving 3+ hours, organizing family schedules, and stepping away from the usual routines felt challenging. Facilitating two life design collage sessions was the impetus to attend, but it was the lake, trees, beaches, open spaces, laughter, and incredible women that kept me energized, engaged, and excited. So much more than a getaway, this gathering was a chance to recharge, reconnect, and remember what it means to put yourself first.

When Summer Feels Too Free: Why Wide-open Days are Inspiring & Overwhelming
Summer can be both a dream and a challenge for ADHD creatives like me.
On one hand, the season offers wide-open days, long light evenings, and the freedom to wander, travel, or relax on the deck with a book and a cold beverage.
That looseness can feel expansive, energizing, and full of possibility.
On the other hand, without the grounding of structure, I often feel unmoored—flakey, scattered, and anxious.
The lack of clear plans or routines may look like freedom from the outside, but on the inside, it can create uncertainty and stress.

So, how do we celebrate IWD in a way that’s meaningful, creative, and, most importantly, fun?
